Mac Mall Became known in the mid/late 1990s as a young protegé of Tupac Shakur and putting The Bay Area on the hip hop map. Hailing from Vallejo, Ca, he was also longtime friends with Mac Dre, who was his mentor early on in his career. He is also cousins to E-40, B-Legit, and Sway Calloway.
San Quinn is an American rapper from San Francisco, California. He is the cousin of Messy Marv, Stevie Johnson, and Ya Boy. Quinn made his first rap appearance as an opening act for 2Pac and Digital Underground at the age of 12. He recorded his first album at 15 years old. In addition to a solo career, Brooks is also a member of the San Francisco rap group Get Low Playaz with JT The Bigga Figga, D-Moe, and Seff Tha Gaffla. One of Brooks’ most notable tracks is “Shock the Party”, which samples Whodini’s “One Love”.
San Francisco’s Ilyich “Equipto” Sato first broke musical ground in the Golden Era of the 1990s with the legendary crew Bored Stiff, whose 90s releases encapsulated the classic SF sound and propelled them to underground fame and tours around the world in a era where few had the chance to travel and spread the Frisco rap gospel. Transitioning toward solo works and collaborative projects, the 2000 era saw Equipto making collaborative records with the Bay’s finest: Andre Nickatina, Opio of Hieroglyphics, and Berner. These three projects show his ultimate versatility: the Bay Hustler, the revolutionary journalist, the weeded wise-man.
